HONEY BAKED BRIE


PREP TIME 10 minutes
COOK TIME 25 minutes
SERVES 6

INGREDIENTS

1 kg brie

1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

80 gm honey

2 tbs hazelnuts, roasted

½ tsp fennel seeds

2 sprigs lemon thyme, plus extra to serve

1 tbsp white wine vinegar

Crusty bread, to serve

METHOD

Step 1 

To start, in a small saucepan, add honey, vinegar, a pinch of fennel seeds and thyme. Turn heat up to medium so that it brings it all together.

Step 2

Place brie on a large serving dish. Once mixture is done add a pinch of salt, turn heat off and evenly pour across the dish. Place the dish into the oven at 180°c for 20 - 25 minutes. 

Step 3

Once finished in the oven, bring out and sprinkle chopped hazel nuts and pine nuts over the dish. Next toast sourdough, drizzle with olive oil
