ANZAC BISCUITS

Makes 20 biscuits

 

Ingredients

tbs water

150g butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tbs golden syrup

1.5 cups plain flour

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup desiccated coconut

 

Method

Add water, butter, sugar and golden syrup in a pot over medium heat until the butter melts.

When butter has melted add bicarb soda to pot and whisk through.

Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl add wet ingredients from pit and mix together in bowl.

Roll mixture into golf ball sized rounds of biscuit mixture and place on a greased baking tray and press down with the back of a fork, allow space for them to spread.

Bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown.
