GOCHUJANG MINUTE STEAKS

SERVES 2-4

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp gochujang paste 

1 tbsp soy sauce 

2 tsp sesame oil 

1 pinch each of white and black sesame seeds 

1 pinch salt 

4 minute steaks 

Kimchi, to serve 

METHOD

Step 1 

In a large mixing bowl, combine the gochujang, sesame oil, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and salt to create a rich marinade. Add the steaks, coating each one well. Skewer the steaks onto soaked bamboo sticks for easy grilling. 

Step 2 

Heat the barbecue grill to high and cook the skewered steaks for about 4-5 minutes, until charred with grill marks and cooked through. Let the steaks rest for 2 minutes, then slice them thinly against the grain for tenderness. 

Step 3 

To serve, arrange a generous layer of kimchi on a large plate, then layer the sliced steaks over the top. Dig in and enjoy this vibrant, flavour-packed meal!
